Die Gruppe möchte Musik schaffen\, die dieselben Eigenschaften besitzt. \nDas neue Projekt Satin Ape verbindet Einflüsse aus freier Improvisation\, Jazz und Metal und hat zum Ziel\, die Ästhetik von „heaviness“ in einem überwiegend akustischen Kontext zu erforschen. \n\n\n\n\n\n  \ngossamer:\nBen Jones – alto saxophone\nPhilip Weyand – piano\nJonas Evenstad – percussion \nSATIN APE: \nBen Jones – alto saxophone\n Philip Zoubek – piano\nRoger Kintopf – bass\nMarius Lamm – drums \nFurther information about prices\, ticket reservations and our opening times can be found here.\n\nWith this concert\, Ben Jones is completing his bachelor’s degree at the Cologne University of Music and Dance.\nHe will present two projects that emerged from his studies: \ngossamer (a very fine spider’s thread) refers to something delicate and fluid that is also strong. The group aims to create music that possesses these same qualities. \nThe new project\, Satin Ape\, combines influences from free improvisation\, jazz\, and metal\, and aims to explore the aesthetic of “heaviness” in a predominantly acoustic context.
