Sonntags – sind möglich.\nWeitere Informationen zu den Preisen\, Karten-Reservierungen und den Öffnungszeiten finden Sie hier.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAmith Nadig & Matthias Schriefl © Ankit Banerjee\nNachdem schon das erste Aufeinandertreffen des Artist in Residence 2024 mit dem Cologne Contemporary Jazz Orchestra im Mai im ausverkauften LOFT allen Beteiligten großen Spaß bereitete\, hat Matthias Schriefl jetzt dem CCJO ein komplett neues Programm auf den Leib geschneidert.\nEin lauschiges Weltmusik-Big Band-Konzert mit vielen Welturaufführungen wartet auf Eure freundlichen Ohren. \nDer Allgäuer Multiinstrumentalist Matthias Schriefl\, der bereits seit über 20 Jahren in der Domstadt wohnt\, wird mit dem Cologne Contemporary Jazz Orchestra und seinem genialen Kollegen Amith Nadig aus Bangalore (Bambusflöten) auf der Bühne stehen\, und das verspricht Großartiges. Geboten werden Südindisch-Allgäuer Lieder meist aus der Feder Schriefls\, die mit indischen Improvisationen\, den Solist*innen und den Grooves des CCJOs und Schriefls bunten Arrangement-Ideen verfeinert werden.\nDabei wird mal ein Jodler mit indischen Rhyhthmen verschmolzen\, als wäre es das normalste auf der Welt als auch eine südindische Melodie mit europäischen Akkordwirrwarr und funky Grooves harmonisiert\, der Kölner Dom wird nach Bombay verlegt und das Himalaya nach Düsseldorf versetzt. Alle harmonischen\, tontechnischen und satztechnischen Gesetze werden außer Kraft gesetzt und die Fantasie in Betrieb genommen.\nDie Musik riecht nach den Allgäuer Alpen\, einem Restaurant in Bangalore\, eine Bar in Havanna und einer Kölner Kneipe. \n Matthias Schriefl und Amith Nadig kennen sich bereits seit über 15 Jahren und verstehen es\, wie kaum jemand anders\, Kulturen verschmelzen zu lassen und indisches präzises Rhythmusgefühl mit Allgäuer Mundart-Liedern oder Jodlern wie aus einem Guss wirken zu lassen. Dabei wird die emotionale Wirkung der Musik – in alle erdenklichen Richtungen des menschlichen Fühlens – in Allianz mit dem CCJO noch intensiviert. Vielleicht sind es diese musikalischen und kulturellen Brücken\, zwischen Ländern und Kontinenten\, die die Basis für Frieden für zukünftige Generationen bringen könnten? \n„Ein furioses musikalisches Spektakel sind die Arrangements des Allgäuer Trompeters\, Flügelhorn-\, Sousaphon- und Tubaspielers Matthias Schriefl (…) unter dem Motto „The Big Amithias – Allgäu meets India“. South Indian-Allgäu songs will be offered\, mostly from Schriefl’s pen\, which will be refined with Indian improvisations\, the soloists and the grooves of the CCJO and Schriefl’s colorful arrangement ideas.\nA yodel is fused with Indian rhythms as if it were the most normal thing in the world\, a South Indian melody is harmonized with European chord confusion and funky grooves\, Cologne Cathedral is relocated to Bombay and the Himalayas are moved to Düsseldorf. All harmonic\, tonal and compositional laws are suspended and the imagination is put to work.\nThe music smells of the Allgäu Alps\, a restaurant in Bangalore\, a bar in Havana and a Cologne pub. \nMatthias Schriefl and Amith Nadig have known each other for over 15 years and know better than anyone else how to fuse cultures and combine a precise sense of rhythm from India with Allgäu dialect songs or yodels. The emotional effect of the music – in every conceivable direction of human feeling – is intensified in alliance with the CCJO. Perhaps it is these musical and cultural bridges between countries and continents that could provide the basis for peace for future generations? \n„The arrangements by Allgäu trumpeter\, flugelhorn\, sousaphone and tuba player Matthias Schriefl (…) under the motto „The Big Amithias – Allgäu meets India“ are a furious musical spectacle.
