Mehr als 30 Jahre arbeiten diese beiden Musik-Giganten bereits in verschiedensten Konstellationen und Kontexten zusammen, über die 2017 erschienenen Duo-CD Mirthful Myths schrieb Nick Duwidovski: „Offen und ungezwungen, ohne ein bestimmtes Ziel vor Augen, nur um ein Gespräch über nahe und sehr ferne Dinge zu führen. Gratkowski und Nabatov reisen entlang der Linien ihrer eigenen Mythologie, die musikalischen Ideen und Emotionen sind wie ein Bündel von Drähten, dicht gepackt hier und spärlich dort, die Punkte, an denen alles fest verankert ist, außer Sichtweite und doch deutlich spürbar.“

For more than 30 years these two musical giants have been working together in a wide variety of constellations and contexts,Nick Duwidovski wrote about the 2017 duo CD Mirthful Myths : „Open and unforced, with no particular goal in mind, just to have a conversation about things near and very far. Gratkowski and Nabatov travel along the lines of their own mythology, the musical ideas and emotions like a bundle of wires, tightly packed here and sparse there, the points where everything is firmly anchored, out of sight yet clearly felt.“

Of the many wonderful concerts planned for 2022, I’m especially looking forward to the duo concert with Simon and Frank, once again a coming together of two great musicians at the LOFT. and for both a homecoming.
